Designed for obtaining good representative fuel samples during bunkering operation. A representative oil sample will provide an accurate representation of the contaminants, additives, oxidation particulates and wear condition. *Lightweight and very easy to install - obtaining a representative bunker fuel sample quick and easy. *Complete with bunker fuel sampler joint rings. *GL & Lloyds Register approved with certificate numbers etched on the flange, GL Certified for MARPOL compliance. *IMO MARPOL 73/78 Annex VI compliant - helps you stay within the legal requirements for bunker fuel sampling. The sample is collected in a cubitainer, a consumable item of typically 5 litre capacity which is attached to the needle valve. The tube should always be installed with the holes facing the fluid direction. Adjust the needle valve to give a slow and steady drip. Time the fill rate to estimate that it will provide for sufficient sample over the expected delivery period. It is recommended that four representative samples are obtained from the delivery. The distribution of the samples being: 1. Supplier's sample; 2. Vessel's sample for on-board retention; 3. On-board analysis sample; 4. Sample for independent analysis.
